The Story of “Zabriskie Point Revealed at Sunrise”
Imagine waking up early to see a beautiful sunrise at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley. In the fall, the sun shines right behind you, lighting up Death Valley like a big flashlight.
I got there before dawn with my camera and saw the sun come up. The mountains behind me made cool shadows on the valley below. It was like a curtain dropping to show off Death Valley’s beauty.
First, I saw the Panamint Mountains far in the distance, then the striking Red Cathedral on the right, and finally the monumental Manley Beacon in front of me.
I took this photo at this perfect moment to preserve how lovely Death Valley looks in the glow of a rising sun.
